Some of my earliest memories were putting in the CD for Microsoft Flight simulator into my family computer and being astounded by the quality of the digital world that someone had created (circa 2005~). Gaming continued to be the source of my love for computers, as I transitioned into modding Minecraft, playing World of Warcraft, and eventually falling into the toxic cesspools of CS:GO and League of Legends. While I felt adept at using computers (far more than most in my small town), I never dug into learning how they worked until I first programmed an Arduino in a physics class in high school. The step by step process of solving a problem in a very reproducible way intrigued me, but I wasn't yet hooked on the idea that I enjoyed it. However, I found it pleasant enough, and so that was enough (along with mistakenly thinking I didn't enjoy mathematics, a misconception that was cured in college) for me to select Computer Science as my chosen major, instead of aerospace engineering, and off to study it I went. During my time at college, I rediscovered love of math, did some internships, learned a little, and wasted a lot of time on video games. The biggest regret I had during this time was not trying harder in my classes, and taking it upon myself to learn more deeply, and explore things that interested my outside of the classroom. I tried (and failed thanks to COVID) to study abroad, an endeavor that showed me I have a love for learning languages, a practice I still continue today. I graduated near the top of my class, and maintained my academic scholarship, and at the time that was good enough for me. ### Present Currently I work as a SWE at [REDACTED] in [REDACTED], United States. I have, since starting at my company, found an enhanced love of programming, one that consumes every waking moment of my thoughts. While at my job I mostly do full-stack web development, in my time outside of work I have found an increased love in diving deep into other areas of programming. Some of the things that interest me the most, but not limited to are: - Graphics - Systems Programming - Game Development - ML - Math - Embedded Programming - Electrical Engineering - and a wide variety of other things (really anything that peaks my interest gets a dedicated deep dive on the topic eventually) ### Future In the future, I hope to continue to do the things that I love, and become more knowledgeable about the world around me and how it operates. I plan to share some of what interests me, things I have learned, and somewhat filtered and polished thoughts on this site, so I hope some of my shared experiences may provide like minded individuals with some value. I hope to one day inspire others to think deeply, ask questions, and build cool and interesting things. If you need / want to reach out to me, you can find me on **[X](https://x.com/technozoomer)**.
